Police recover bullet-riddled body on National Highway-37 in Tamenglong

A team of Kaiphundai police led by OC Manatha Kamei along with 37 AR rushed to the spot and picked up the body from the roadside.

One unidentified man was found dead on Saturday morning after being allegedly shot at the roadside of Kaiphundai village along National Highway-37, Tousem sub-division, Tamenglong district.

After getting the report of the incident, a team of Kaiphundai police led by OC Manatha Kamei along with 37 AR rushed to the spot and picked up the body from the roadside.

According to police, the deceased man’s hands were tied behind his back and two gunshots from a 9mm pistol were found on his head. He was found wearing black T-shirt, green trouser and grey colour shoes. Police have taken up a case regarding the incident and further investigation is under way.
