Autopsies not done for COVID-19 positive victims

The two bodies have been transported in a special vehicle to their respective homes by personnel in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Autopsies were not carried out for two persons who died in a motorcycle accident on Wednesday at Sunushiphai Golai Houkhiba which lies under Moirang Police Station after it was found that their bodies were found to be Covid positive.

In regards to the road mishap, Moirang Police Station took up a case on Thursday and tried to have their autopsies done at RIMS mortuary. However, following RIMS guidelines and after taking Rapid Antigen tests, they were found positive for Covid-19.
