Manipur records first win in Senior Women Cricket

Manipur bowler Ganga W, Kiranbala H and Manimacha Angom claimed 2 wickets each while Milan Y and Lingthoingambi RK chipped in with 1 wicket each.


Manipur posted 7 wickets win over Sikkim to record its first victory in the Senior Women's One Day Trophy, played at Alur Cricket Stadium-III, Bangalore.

Manipur won the toss and opted to field first where Sikkim in their first innings made 132 runs for 10 wickets from 50 overs. Rinki Rajak topscored with 31 runs while wicketkeeper Songkit Lhamoo Lepcha got 27 runs among the top runs contributors.

Chasing the target, skipper Ganga W did her part smashing 82 runs from 114 balls while Ronibala Th struck 30 runs from 78 deliveries to reach the target in 36.5 overs, losing 3 wickets in the process. Sikkim bowler Tabita Suba bagged 2 wickets.
