In continuance of providing monetary help to the bereaved VDF families of Thoubal and Kakching districts respectively by the VDF Welfare Association, Thoubal district, the association has resolved to provide a sum of Rs 2 lakh only to the bereaved families of the VDF personnel who expired due to illness or on duty, Thoubal District VDF Welfare Association announced on Thursday.
For any VDF members who have suffered from various illnesses and hailing from the said two districts, financial assistance will be provided as per categories set by the amount of expenditures, a release signed by the secretary general (Administration), Hidam Jiban stated.
For expenditures incurred between Rs 20,000 to Rs 29,999, a sum of Rs 15,000 will be provided; for expenditures incurred between Rs 30,000 to Rs 39,999, a sum of Rs 25,000 will be provided; for expenditures incurred between Rs 40,000 to Rs 59,999, a sum of Rs 30, 000 will be provided; for expenditures incurred between Rs 60,000 to Rs 79,999, a sum of Rs 35,000 will be provided and for expenditures incurred above Rs 80,000, a sum of Rs 45,000 will be provided to the respective patients, it stated.
If any member who has already received the said amounts, he can apply for reimbursements again in any medical treatment after the completion of three years post receiving the monetary aid, it added.
