The joint tribe students’ body comprising Rongmei Naga Students' Organisation Manipur (RNSOM), All Inpui Students' Union (AISU), Zeme Students Organisation Manipur (ZSOM), Liangmai Naga Katimai Ruangdi (LNKR) and Rongmei Naga Youth organisation (RNYO) Tamenglong Luangrian on Thursday inspected the double lane construction of Tamenglong-Khongsang (KT) road along NH-137.
Speaking to Imphal Free Press, general secretary of Joint Tribe Students Association (JTSA) Masanbou Thiumai expressed their satisfaction and urged the contractors to maintain quality. He said that the joint body has been regularly monitoring the work and appraising the progress directly to the head office of National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL), New Delhi.
It may be mentioned that Tamenglong-Khongsang road is the only lifeline of Tamenglong and double lane construction was taken by Shivalaya Construction Company Private Ltd under NHIDCL.
