The 14th Manipur State League 2021 is slated for kick off from March 22 with 17 teams at Artificial Turf Lamlong Thongkhong, Imphal East.
The premier football event MSL is being organised by All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) under the sponsorship of Kh Joykisan Singh and has several new teams from this season.
The participating teams are DM Rao Awang Sekmai, GSC Churachandpur, SSU Singjamei, YUFC Ukhrul, TRAU FC Kwakeithel, SU Sagolband, KLASA FC Keinou, NEROCA FC Sangakpham, KIYC Kshetrigao in Group A.
In Group B are MPSC Police HQ, NISA Thangmeiband, MA Kangpokpi, AIM Khabam, YPHU Lalambung Makhong, NACO Nambul Mapal, AFC Thoubal Athokpam and UKB Churachandpur.
The opening match will have GSC Churachandpur and KIYC Khetrigao at 2 pm, according to the match schedule circulated by AMFA on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the AMFA has constituted a 16-member Tournament Committee for the smooth conduct of the 14th Manipur State League 2021 with K Yaima Singh leading as chairman of the Committee.
The other member are L Naba Singh as convenor while L Landan, S Jiten Singh as co-convenor and W Mobimacha Singh, K Kashi Singh, H Irabot Singh, P Surchand Singh, A Kameshor Singh, Y Anish Singh, Ch Premchand Singh, M Digbijoy Singh, N Itocha Singh, Md Abul and E Suman Singh as member, according to AMFA general secretary.
