Manipur's COVID-19 active case remains 24

One each from Imphal West and Bishnupur districts in Manipur tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday.

Two more persons from the general population were tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, taking the total positive caseload to 29,315, the state health department said on Tuesday.

The positive persons were from Imphal West and Bishnupur, while there was no report of death, a release from the state COVID-19 Control Room stated. It stated that the COVID-19 death count remained 373.

All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, the release stated.

The release also stated that two more persons have recovered from the illness. One is from home isolation and the other was from JNIMS Hospital in Imphal. With it, the active number stood at 24, it stated.

Meanwhile, as per the latest information, 1072 more people have been vaccinated across the state. The cumulative number of vaccinated persons is now 77,127.

The total number of healthcare workers vaccinated touched 30,835 till date, the release added.

In case of emergency, the state health department has advised the public to contact helpline number 1800-345-3818. Home isolation helpline number is 0385-2414009.

The state health department further said no severe reactions or allergies were reported following the immunisation.
