An awareness campaign on 'Hal Ghar Jal and Water Conservation' under Jal Jeevan Mission, was held on Sunday at DTC hall located at Tuibong, Churachandpur.
The programme was jointly organised by District Administration, Churachandpur and PHED Manipur as part of the celebration of four years of citizen centric governance in the state.
Attending as chief guest of the programme, additional chief secretary, TA and Hills, Letkhogin Haokip spoke on the importance of water. He said that there is an immediate need for conservation of water and every space available may be used to reserve water.
The village chiefs and villagers who participated in the awareness campaign pledged to conserve water.
DC of Churachandpur Pawan Yadav also attended the programme as guest of honour along with additional DC, EE of PHED Churachandpur and officials from other departments.
