Children of orphanage home provided free dental treatment

More than 120 persons were given treatment on a one-day Free Oral/Dental and Cosmetic Campaign at Sangahmuon Inn (Orphanage Home), Bijang, Churachandpur on Sunday.

A one-day Free Oral/Dental and Cosmetic Campaign was held on Sunday at Sangahmuon Inn (Orphanage Home), Bijang, Churachandpur, organised by Kuki Women Union Churachandpur in collaboration with Shija City Dental Hospital and Royal Dental Care.

The medical team from the two hospitals included junior consultant surgeon, Dr Y Menon Singh; junior dental surgeons, Dr Lenin Sharma, Dr Sh Talent, Dr Thoudam Charles and Dr T Arjun; dental surgeons, Dr David P Lhouvum and Dr Kenita Nongmaithem; nurse, Neilenchong Lhouvum; and assistants, Momoi Misao, Boichong Kilong and Marina Singsit.

The children of the orphanage home were first administered check-up and medicines were provided for free according to their ailments. The locals of nearby villages were also given free treatment on the occasion which included treatment with cosmetic surgery such as rhinoplasty, mole removal, and other dental treatments.

More than 120 persons were given treatment during the health programme and the medical team also provided a monetary aid of Rs 5,000 to the orphanage home.

It may be mentioned that the campaign was made possible especially for the children of the orphanage home due to the personal initiative of Dr David P Lhouvum.
