Manipur women lost to Pondicherry by six wickets in Senior Women Cricket

Manipur lost to Pondicherry by six wickets in the Senior Women One Day League, played at Alur Cricket Stadium, Bangalore on Saturday.

Manipur batted first to put up 162 runs for six wickets from 50 overs with tailender Rebika Devi making 47 runs while RK Lingthoingambi remained not out with 45 runs. Chingkhei got 17 runs. Pondicherry bowler Reena bagged two wickets while Jaya and Amruta picked up 1 wicket each.

Pondicherry in reply, reached the target in 43.1 overs for the loss of four wickets. Yuvashri made 41 runs while Reena got 29 runs and wicketkeeper Karuna made an unbeaten 45 runs from 44 balls for the victory. Manipur bowler Monica claimed two wickets while Chingkhei and Milan got one wicket each.
