Only one new COVID-19 positive case in Manipur

Manipur's COVID-19 caseload reached 29,310 on Friday.

Manipur on Friday recorded only one COVID-19 positive case, taking the state's tally to 29,310, the state health department said.

As per a release issued from the COVID-19 Common Control Room, the only new positive case on Friday was a male from Ukhrul district. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, it stated.

While the death toll remained at 373 with no COVID-19 death case, the cumulative number of recovered cases has risen to 28,907 with seven new recoveries, the release stated. The recovery rate is 98.62 per cent, it added.

Meanwhile, 810 more people were vaccinated against COVID-19 in Manipur and the cumulative number of vaccinated people increased to 74,320, the release stated. The number of healthcare workers vaccinated is 30,614, it added.

The state health department further said no severe reactions or allergies were reported following the immunisation.
