PTRC Patsoi cruises to final of 5th MNCA Elite Cricket Tournament

PTRC Patsoi made it to the final beating Champ Khagempalli by four wickets in the 5th MNCA Elite Relegation Round 2021, played at Luwangpokpa Cricket Ground, Luwangsangbam.

The final match will be played between Cyclone CC Thangmeiband and PTRC Patsoi, which schedule is yet to be announced.

The second semi-final match saw, Champ Khagempalli deciding to bat first after winning the toss, where they managed a paltry 76 runs for 10 wickets from 26.3 overs. Except for wicketkeeper batsman Johny, who got 20 runs from 54 ball and Nitesh who fetched 16 runs, all other batsman failed cheaply.

The PTRC bowlers particularly Ph Jotin, Kiran Singh met huge success claiming 3 wickets each from 6 overs while Bishorjit took 2 wickets and Kenjit fetched 1 wicket.

Chasing the target, PTRC Patsoi batsman did find themselves in deep trouble as none could make a solid stand in hitting the balls. However, Ng Jemson managed to remain unbeaten with 25 runs from 43 balls while Johnson got 15 runs to reach the target in 18.5 over for the loss of 6 wickets.

Champ bowler Sultan bagged 3 wickets while Thomas, Kabir, Nicholson took 1 wicket each. Later Ph Jotin was declared the Man of the Match for his 3 wicket haul.

In tomorrow’s relegation match, Reyoungster Nagamapal will play Al-Ameen CC Lilong.
