Churachandpur joins state’s celebration of four years of governance

The district administration of Churachandpur carried out mass tree plantation on Thursday at different locations involving DLO and SDO as a part of the four years of citizen-centric governance in the state.

Under the supervision of DC of Churachandpur, staff of ACCC planted tree saplings at Mary Kom Ring Road while DC staff did the same at Mini Secretarial complex. SP of Churachandpur planted sapling at the Peace Ground and DLOs including DFO, SDO and others planted saplings in their jurisdiction.

A series of activities have been lined up till March 15 starting from March 10. On Friday there will be a campaign regarding health and nutrition in villages, followed by COVID-19 appropriate behaviour and COVID vaccination awareness at DTC Hall, DC Office, Tuibong from 9:30 am. There will be free medical check-up along with enrollment session of CMHT/PMJAY.

During the programme, the CMO of Churachandpur said that three centers for COVID-19 vaccinations will be opened at DTC on Friday and Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) advocacy campaign will be held at Behiang village, followed by nutrition campaign on Village Health Nutrition Day (VHND) at four PHCDs and other places.

Meanwhile, a late report from Pherzawl district through the DIO of Churachandpur said that the district administration has carried out different activities in the district as a pre-event for celebrating completion of four years by the state government. DC of Pherzawl, Mannuamching and DFO led a tree plantation programme inside the DC complex and community hall premises at Pherzawl from morning onwards. Later, a skill development awareness campaign was also organised by NRLM and SRLM at Pherzawl community hall, the report added.
