Mizoram's COVID-19 caseload surges to 4,434 with two new cases

No new cases have been reported in nine districts after the recovery of the actives cases.

COVID-19 caseload in Mizoram surged to 4,434 on Wednesday as two more persons tested positive for the viral infection, according to the state Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR).

As per the latest updates from the DIPR, of the 11 districts only two districts - Aizawl and Saitual have active cases while no new cases have been reported in nine districts after the recovery of the actives cases.

The number of active cases in the state is now nine, of which seven are in Aizawl and two in Saitual, the DIPR psoted on Twitter.

While the number of recovered cases reached 4,415, the death toll remained at 10, it added.
