Al-Ameen CC, Lilong registered 85 runs win against THAU Thangmeiband in the round robin league format of the 5th MNCA Elite Relegation Round 2021 played at Luwangpokpa Cricket Ground, Luwangsangbam.

Sent into bat first, Al-Ameen opener made a good start with skipper Noushad Ali making 20 runs while Nasir Shah got 29 runs to guide their team to 143 runs for 10 wickets from 33 overs (limited 40 overs). Wicketkeeper Al-Bashid struck 30 runs while Akram made 19 runs.

THAU bowler Rk Amarjit claimed 4 wickets while Rabikanta fetched 3 wickets, Rohen, Inaobi and Krishnachandra chipped in with 1 wicket each.

Chasing the target, THAU batsmen were bundled out for a mere 58 runs for 10 wickets from 22.1 overs with Bashir Rahman creating havoc claiming 6 wickets for 15 runs from 8 overs. He was later declared the Man of the Match for his efforts. Nasir Shah and Noushad Ali picked up 2 wickets each.
