Manipur's COVID-19 active caseload dips to 31

The state's recovery rate reached 98.63 per cent on Saturday.

The number of COVID-19 active cases in Manipur dipped to 31 as four more persons recovered from the viral infection in a span of 24 hours, the state health department said on Saturday.

With the new recoveries, the cumulative number of recovered cases is 28,884 and the state's recovery rate reached 98.63 per cent, a release issued by the COVID-19 Common Control Room stated.

Meanwhile, two more persons tested positive for COVID-19, pushing the state's tally to 29,288, the release stated.

The two new cases are from Imphal East and Noney, the release stated, adding all necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place.

No COVID-19 death case was recorded in the state on Saturday and the death toll remained at 373, it added.

The state health department further stated that 2,816 more people have been vaccinated and the cumulative number of vaccine beneficiaries has risen to 65,465. The total number of healthcare workers who have been vaccinated is 30,204, it added.

The state health department further said no severe reactions or allergies were reported following the immunisation.
