The Kanglei Indigenous Martial Arts and Cultural Society (KIMACS) stated that they will socially boycott Leishemba Sanajaoba if he does not withdraw his decision to join a political party to run for MP.

A release stated that the decision of Leishemba Sananjaoba to join a political party goes in contrast to his duty as the king of the state. The Royal Palace has been targeted by people with sinister intentions for the past four-five years, it stated.

The palace is becoming a hub for saffronisation and hindutva ideology and working for the benefits of few, it stated. KIMACS appealed to the present king to think twice before making a final decision. There is no issue in Leishemba Sanajaoba joining the political parties but he has to abdicate the throne, it stated.

Many people who have been diligent employees of prestigious rank like IPS, IAS etc are seen deteriorating once they enter politics, it stated. Nobody can guarantee, it will not be the case of Leishemba Sanajaoba, it added.
