Assam Rifles, police seize suspected murder weapon in Churachandpur

The recovered pistol and ammunition have been handed over to Churachandpur police station for further investigation.

A combine team of Aina Battalion Assam Rifles and Churachandpur police seized a weapon suspected to be used in the alleged murder of Jimmy Thangsonlal that allegedly took place on January 12 in Churachandpur town.

During a  special  operation conducted by the combine team on February 19 based on specific input, the team has recovered a 9mm pistol along with two live rounds and a magazine from the house of a suspected cadre of ZRA (Calvin), said a statement issued by AR.

The recovered pistol and ammunition have been handed over to Churachandpur police station for further investigation, it added.
