Anand Naorem’s all round consistency in his bowling helped TRAU Kwakeithel beat YWC Langthabal by 40 runs in the 5th MNCA W Prahlada and W Ramananda Elite Tournament 2021 played at Luwangpokpa Cricket Ground, Luwangsangbam on Monday.

Deciding to bat first, TRAU made a good start with P Prafullomani scoring 39 runs off 46 ball while Bishorjit Singh got 76 runs from 98 balls and Anand Naorem made 22 runs to post 175 runs for 10 wickets from 39.5 overs.

YWC bowler Prakashmani claimed 4 wickets while Biswash took 2 wickets and Puinachandra, Subash took 1 wicket.

Chasing the target, YWC batsman could gain little room for strokes but Electronic made 27 runs from 60 balls while Biswash got 24 runs, managing 135 runs for 10 wickets from 33.2 overs. TRAU bowler Anand Naorem claimed 4 wickets for 30 runs from 8 overs while Rajesh Patil, Birjit got 2 wickets each and Bijen fetched 1 wicket. Anand Naorem was declared the Man of the Match for his 4 wickets haul and 22 runs knock.
