The total number of COVID-19 positive cases in Nagaland rose to 177 as nine more persons tested positive for the novel coronavirus on Monday, official sources said.
The new cases were among the 418 samples tested, Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom said in a tweet. Of them, five cases were reported from Dimapur quarantine centre and four from Peren quarantine centre, the minister said.
"9 new cases of COVID-19 +ve have been reported out of 418 samples tested. 5 from Dimapur QC & 4 from Peren QC," the minister tweeted.
Of the total 177 COVID-19 positive cases reported in the state, 89 are active cases. The other 88 patients have recovered from the disease.
On Sunday, Nagaland reported 17 COVID-19 positive cases, taking the total number of cases in the state to 168.
