H Shanker lifts championship title of CYLC Men's Single title 2021

The Men's Double final for above 45 years was claimed by T Tuleshwar and Kangjamba beating N Dilip and Th Ibohal by 3-6, 6-1 and 10-5 points.

Heisnam Shanker was crowned the Men's Open Single title of the 10th CYLC Cash Prize State Open Tennis Tournament 2021, organised by Association of Tennis Lovers and played at CYLC Court, Singjamei.

In the final match, Shanker was pitied against Luching Lukram but the former rose up on the occasion to put up a superlative performance towards the title. Shanker made little unforced errors in the game and took the first match by 6-2 sets. Though Luching tried to make a comeback in the second game, Shanker had the upper hand and claimed it by 6-4 sets to lift the championship title.

As for the Men's Double final for above 35 years, the pair of T Tuleshwar and Th Rivasker overcame stiff challenge from Kh Bona and S Rabi but experience came in handy as the former took it by 7-6 (7-5) sets. The second sets were also captured by Tuleshwar and Rivasker in the same fashion by 7-5 sets, to lay their hand on the champion title.

The Men's Double final for above 45 years was claimed by T Tuleshwar and Kangjamba beating N Dilip and Th Ibohal by 3-6, 6-1 and 10-5 points while the Men's Double for above 55 years champion title was taken by N Dilip and his partner H Ibotombi beating Sharat and Leishemba by 6-3 and 7-5 sets.

The closing function was attended by speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly, Y Khemchand Singh who along with others distributed prizes to the players.
