Lui-Ngai-Ni 2021: Manipur CM Biren extends greetings on Naga seed sowing festival

The chief minister termed the seed sowing festival as one of the biggest festivals of the Nagas marking the start of the year.

Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Sunday extended his greetings to the people of Manipur particularly to the Naga brethren on the occasion of Lui-Ngai-Ni 2021.

The chief minister termed the seed sowing festival as one of the biggest festivals of the Nagas marking the start of the year.

"During the festival, the blessing of the Almighty is sought for a bountiful harvest. The festival, celebrated during the Spring season, has a splendid display of traditions and values, with cultural dances, folk songs, drum thumping, traditional costumes and indegenous sports reflecting the rich cultural heritage of the Nagas," CM Biren said in his message.

CM Biren wished that the festival bring happiness and prosperity and also spread the message of unity, peace and brotherhood amongst all communities of the state.
