The Manipur Cricket Association condoled the sudden demise of its former executive member and staff Usham Jashobanta Singh at his residence at Thangmeiband Yumnam Leikai, Imphal West on Monday.
Expressing deep sorrow, the MNCA in a condolence message said that Jashobanta Singh has been part of the Association for more than two decades and his contribution towards the development of modern cricket in the state would always be remembered. His untimely demise will leave a huge void, which will be hard to fill in the coming days, it added.
The MNCA office bearers along with executive members, staff and members of the participating teams in the 5th MNCA Elite Tournament and 5th MNCA Plate Tournament observed two minutes silence in honour of the departed soul and shared the grief of the family members.
