Mizoram: Three more test COVID-19 positive

COVID-19 tally reached 4,362 in Mizoram on Wednesday.

Three more persons tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday, taking the total tally to 4,362, according to an update from the state's  Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR).

With the new positive cases, the number of active cases stood at 42 while 4,311 persons have recuperated from the infection, the DIPR posted on Twitter.

No COVID-19 fatalities were recorded in the state on Wednesday and the death toll stood at nine, it added.

Of the total COVID-19 confirmed cases in Mizoram 3,192 are males while 1,170 are females.

Five districts of Mizoram, including Champhai, Mamit, Khawzawl, Hnahthial and Saitual, have zero COVID-19 cases after the recovery of the positive cases.

Among the active cases, 33 cases are in Aizawl, three in Lunglei, two each in Kolasib and Lawngtlai, and one each in Siaha and Serchhip, as per the DIPR update.

Aizawl has recorded eight COVID-19 deaths while Sercchip recorded one death of the total fatalities in the state, it added.
