Moreh Battalion Assam Rifles celebrates R-Day with village children

The initiative was taken by Assam Rifles to celebrate the Republic Day with grandeur to awaken the sensation of patriotism and make the children aware about the importance of the day.

Moreh Battalion of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) celebrated the 72nd Republic Day at Thangbung Minou village.

The initiative was taken by Assam Rifles to celebrate the Republic Day with grandeur to awaken the sensation of patriotism and make the children aware about the importance of the day.

A gathering of more than 50 children including civilians from seven villages with troops of Assam Rifles witnessed the event with a ton of pride and enthusiasm. The event commenced with the unfurling of the national flag along with Guard of Honour followed by singing of the National Anthem. All the children were presented with the national flags and tri-colour printed caps.

The company commander addressed the gathering to mark the importance of Republic Day. The event further unfolded with distribution of sweets to children and then they danced on the patriotic tunes. The event culminated with distribution of gifts and group photographs with the children.
