As many as nine Manipur police personnel have been selected for receiving the ‘President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service’ and ‘Police Medal for Meritorious Service’ on Republic day on Monday, Manipur Police department announced on Monday.
IGP E Priyokumar Singh and Subedar M Ibobi Singh of 6th IRB will be given the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service, a release issued by superintendent of police NAB W Basu Singh stated.
Subedar of 4th IRB Mangsidam Dimartan Singh; sub inspector CID(SB) Tuanjahau Simte, havildar 6th IRB Rongsheng Leiyah; rifleman Md Shahid Ahamed 1st IRB; havildar 1st MR Sanabam Bishorjit Singh; havilder MPTC AS Mayungkui Zimik and havildar MPTC Lukram Lenin Meetei will be awarded with the Police Medal for Meritorious Service, it stated.
It stated that director MPTC Pangei RK Tutusana and havildar 1st battalion Manipur Ksh Rajen will be given Ati- Utkrisht Seva Padak. Havildar 1st battalion MR L Deben Singh, rifleman 1st battalion MR Yumnam Milan Mangang will be given Utkrisht Seva Padak, it added.
The release further stated that ‘Antrik Suraksha Seva Padak for Northeast Region’ will be given to ADGP (HG) (now ADGP modernisation Manipur) C Doungel; DIG(R-ii/iii) (now DIG (R-ii) Manipur) Kabib K; commandant 2nd battalion MR P Manjit Singh, MPS; Jemadar 8th battalion MR Chingtham Dhaneshwor Singh; sub inspector Imphal west L Pratap Meetei; sub inspector Imphal west Kh Satish Singh; Jemadar 5th battalion MR Irom Kumarjit Singh; sub inspector Imphal East Khumukcham Bobocha Singh and havildar 6th IRB Chingtham Samsan Singh.
The ‘Union Home Minister’s Medal for Excellence in Police Training’ will be given to Jemadar MPTC Laishram Chingkheinganba and rifleman MPTC Thongam Ajit Singh, it added.
