Assam: 105 COVID-19 patients discharged; total recovered cases rise to 1,537

Assam has so far reported 3,430 COVID-19 positive cases, including 1,883 active cases.

Bringing a sigh of relief, a total of 105 patients were on Friday discharged from various hospitals in Assam, taking the overall recovered cases in the state to 1,537, official sources said.

Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took to Twitter and said, "Delighted to share that 105 patients have been discharged today from various civil, dist & model hospitals, after being tested negative."

Assam has so far reported 3,430 COVID-19 positive cases, including 1,883 active cases. 

Meanwhile, Assam recorded its seventh COVID-19 death after a woman from Hailankandi succumbed to the infection in Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH) earlier in the day, reports said.

As per reports the woman, who was a cancer patient, tested positive for COVID-19 after returning from Delhi.
