Nagaland on Wednesday recorded one new COVID-19 case, pushing the total tally to 12,067 while the number of recovered cases surged to 11,731 as seven more persons recovered from the infection, according to the state Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom.
Taking to Twitter, the health minister said that one COVID-19 positive case was reported from Kohima, while six people from Dimapur and one from Peren recovered from the disease on Wednesday.
"Update! One positive case of #COVID-19 has been detected today at Kohima. Also 7 +ve patients have recovered. Dimapur- 6, Peren- 1," Phom tweeted.
With the new recoveries, the number of active cases in the state is 106 and the COVID-19 death toll stood at 78.
According to the state health department, of the total deaths, 10 deaths are not due to COVID-19 while 142 cases have migrated to other states.

Only one new COVID-19 positive case was recorded in Nagaland on Wednesday.
