PRSC Paorabi claimed the champion title bagging 39 medals in the 40th State Age Group Athletic Championship 2021 which concluded Sunday at Main Stadium, Khuman Lampak.
The two days competition witnessed PRSC athletes picking up 27 gold medals along with eight silver and four bronze medals while HAU took the second spot with 19 gold, 25 silver and 13 bronze medals and KNSAA had to contend with the third place winning 12 gold, five silver and 15 bronze medals.
In the second day itself, PRSC athletes picked up 14 gold medals while HAU also made a super leap winning 13 gold medals, to push themselves ahead of KNSAA team. KNSAA managed with four gold medals of the day.
PRSC athletes who shined with gold medal are M Jinat in U-20 Boys 100 meter race, M Athen in Men's 100 meter, A Angita in U-16 Girls 100 meter, L Yaishana in U-18 Girls 100 meter, Leishembi Mutum in U-16 Girls Discuss, N Ichantombi in Discuss Women, Ksh Tony in U-16 Girls High Jump, Jupiter Naorem in U-16 Boys Discuss, M Chanchanrani in U-18 Girls 400 meter race, M Athen in Men 400 meter race, Kh Romajit in Men 5000 meter race, N Ichantombi in Women High Jump, Ng Regia in U-14 Girls 60 meter race and M Devraj Luwang in Men Hammer Throw.
Other units LSA came fourth with 24 medals including 11 gold while MMC got 23 medals with nine gold, SAI with 17 medals with eight gold, HYC with 16 medals with five gold, MPSC with 21 medals with four gold, WSC with eight medals with four gold, RAU with nine medals with two gold, SYPO with four medal with one gold, SSU with two medal with one gold, SROY with two medals with one gold and AMESCO with five medals.
It can be mentioned that altogether 350 athletes took part in the competition from 15 Athletic units.
