NSU celebrates 3rd foundation day

NSU honoured Rajesh Thokchom, a student of MA Sports Psychology for being the topper of the first passed out batch of NSU.

National Sports University (NSU) Manipur virtually celebrated its 3rd foundation day on Saturday with the attendance of vice chancellor, NSU RC Mishra and registrar NSU Sh L Shyam Kumar at the celebration as the chief guest and guest of honour respectively.

The celebration was carried out in the presence of dean in-charge NSU Lamlun Buhril and special guest professor Jayashree Acharya, a release stated. 

The vice chancellor in his speech appreciated the efforts made by professor Jayashree Acharya, Registrar L Shyam Kumar, faculty members and students to make the teaching and learning process smooth in spite of the pandemic by accepting and using technology as a tool, it stated.

It stated that the vice chancellor emphasised on seeing the positive side of the pandemic in regards to the environment and the attachment between family members.

On the occasion, NSU honoured Rajesh Thokchom, a student of MA Sports Psychology for being the topper of the first passed out batch of NSU, it stated. E-certificates to winners of debate competitions organised during the year 2020 were distributed online, it added.
