Md Badaruddin of WSC claimed the gold medal in the 300 meter race of U-16 category on the opening day of the 40th State Age Group Athletic Championship 2021 at Main Stadium, Khuman Lampak.
Badaruddin clocked 38.44 second for the gold while KNSAA athletes Md Keishevnoor fetched the silver with 40.92 second and S Sanatomba of PRSC bagged the bronze medal with 41.91 seconds.
However, the day belongs to PRSC athletes as they came up with 13 gold, three silver and two bronze medals to end the day on a high note while KNSAA stood with eight gold medals, HAU and MMC with six gold medals each.
LSA athletes also had a great run winning five gold medals while HAU too had five gold medals, SAI and HYC with four gold medals each, MPSC and WSC with two gold medals. The championship is being participated by 350 athletes from 15 units.
PRSC gold medals winner of the day are Kh Romajit in Mens 10,000 meter race, M.Aken in Men 200 meter, Yaishna in U-18 Girls 200 meter, S.Manaoba in U-18 Boys Shot Put, Jupiter Naorem in U-16 Boys Shot Put, Leishembi Mutum in U-16 Girls Shot Put, L Ulinda Devi in U-14 Girls 600 meter, Ksh Tony Devi in U-16 800 meter, H Pibaremba in U-18 Boys Long Jump, Ng Regia in U-14 Girls Long Jump, A Angita in U-16 Girls Long Jump, Cho Tracy Aimol in U-20 Girls Long Jump and N.William in U-20 Boys 10,000 meter Walk.
