V Hangkhanlian said that the invention of vaccines in India shows that Indian medical scientists are no less than their other counterparts elsewhere. He further appreciated the doctors of Churachandpur district who have made available an operation theatre only for COVID-19 patients.

Ginsuanhau Zou said, “We mourn for those who had lost their lives due to COVID-19. I pray that no more lives are lost again as this vaccination drive has started.”

After the launching programme, the vaccine was injected to the CMO and MS of Churachandpur District Hospital and the DFWO, followed by other medical staff numbering 100 as per guideline.
