Manipur's minimum temperature rises slightly

The minimum temperature in Manipur rose to 6.1 degree Celsius on Saturday.

Giving respite to the biting cold, the minimum temperature in Manipur rose to 6.1 degree Celsius on Saturday, while the maximum dipped to 21.6 degree Celsius from 26.79 degree Celsius on Friday, according to the latest updates from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Regional Office in Imphal, Manipur.

The relative humidity (RH) on Saturday morning was 97 per cent while it decreased to 44 per cent in the afternoon, the ICAR said.

On Friday, the lowest temperature of 5.09 degree Celsius was recorded at Senapati district, while the highest temperature of 26.79 degree Celsius was recorded in Tamenglong district, according to the climate change cell of the state Directorate of Environment and Climate Change.

As per the latest updates by the state Directorate of Environment and Climate Change, the minimum temperature in Bishnupur district was 8.12 degree Celsius while the maximum was 21.02 degree Celsius.

Churachandpur district recorded a minimum temperature of 6.68 degree Celsius and a maximum of 22.67 degree Celsius.

The minimum temperature in Imphal East district was 8.97 degree Celsius while the maximum was recorded at 24.42 degree Celsius.

Imphal West district recorded a minimum temperature of 6.7  degree Celsius and the maximum of 21.03 degree Celsius.

In Kakching district, the minimum temperature was noted at 7.94 degree Celsius while the maximum was 21.88 degree Celsius.

Kangpokpi district recorded a minimum temperature of 7.28 degree Celsius and a maximum of 21.46 degree Celsius.

In Noney district, the minimum temperature rose to 9.67 degree Celsius while the maximum was 24.65 degree Celsius.

Senapati district recorded a minimum temperature of 5.46 degree Celsius while the maximum was 20.35 degree Celsius.

The minimum temperature in Tamenglong district was 9.05 degree Celsius while the maximum was27.82 degree Celsius.

Tengnoupal district recorded a minimum temperature of 9.6 degree Celsius while its maximum was 25.36 degree Celsius.
