A release by AMSU publicity and information secretary Lhunpao Lhupheng on Friday stated that many private schools in the State have started e-class and adopted other mechanisms for the students during the pandemic.

However, the union observed that many government schools have not conducted e-class or adopted other means for the students. Lupheng questioned how the students of government schools will appear the approaching examination when they are not prepared.

Further the union appealed to the concerned department to take up necessary measures for the students of government schools.

Private schools should not force the students to compulsorily stay in the school boarding as a preparation for the board examination, it warned. Such rule is an attempt of private schools to collect fees in different means since the state government have instructed schools to exempt tuition fees of students during the lockdown, the release added.
