Awareness programme on aromatic crops held at Hengbung

The CSIR-Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP), Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh in collaboration with Foundation for Environment and Economic Development Services (FEEDS) organised an awareness programme on 'Improved Cultivation and Processing Technology of Aromatic Crops for Income enhancement of tribal farmers' at FEEDS Campus, Hengbung in Kangpokpi district.

The awareness programme was attended by officials from CSIR-CIMAP including Manoj Kumar Yadav, Ishrar Ali and Mipin Kumar along with senior scientist of FEEDS, Hengbung, Dr Dhanaraj Singh Thokchom as resource persons. They deliberated on the importance of farming, processing and income generation through Lemongrass, Rose and Citronella.

Farmers, youths and women from several villages across Kangpokpi and Senapati district participated in the awareness programme.
