UPSC declares Civil Services (Main) Exam, 2019 result; reserve list of 89 candidates released

A total of 829 candidates in order of merit have been recommended for appointment to IAS, IFS, IPS and Central Services.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Monday declared the result of the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2019.

A total of 829 candidates in order of merit have been recommended for appointment to IAS, IFS, IPS and Central Services Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’ against 927 vacancies, the commission said in a statement.

The UPSC also released that reserve list of candidates for different civil services on the basis of the Civil Services Examination, 2019, as sought by the Department of Personnel & Training

The commission recommended 89 candidates, including 73 General, 14 OBC, 1 EWS and 1 SC, to fill up the remaining posts based on the Civil Services Examination, 2019

"The Commission, in accordance with the Rule 16 (4) & (5) of the Civil Services Examination Rules, was also maintaining a Consolidated Reserve List in order of merit below the last recommended candidate under the respective categories," the UPSC said.
