ATSUM’s reaction comes in the wake of protest by civil voluntary bodies against the release of former chairman ADC, Chandel Lhukhosei Zou.

The union has opined that Zou’s case does not warrant  reinvestigation as the court has passed the order  after a series of trials and after an exhaustive investigation of nearly two and a half years.

ATSUM appealed to the government not to further victimise Lhukhosei Zou or appeal against the court order as “the innocent man has already been subjected to incalculable torment and suffering”.

The release added that ATSUM will not remain silent if the government tries to appease the civil bodies whose sole interest is to incite mob agitation to do their whims and fancies.
