State education minister Th Radheshyam on Wednesday visited the community quarantine centre of Heirok assembly constituency being opened at Ukhongsang KGBV and lauded the inmates for adhering to the SOPs and keeping peace and tranquillity at the centre.
Maintaining the standard operating procedures (SOPs), the minister also interacted with the inmates and shared his happiness over their completion of the quarantine period. Th Radheshyam who is also the MLA of Heirok assembly constituency told the inmates that there is nothing more precious than life and that they are the future of the society.
The minister also noted the grievances facing the inmates and assured of doing whatever he can to fulfil their requirements. Later, the minister also distributed simple gifts from his side to the security personnel and volunteers manning the centre.
It is said that there are 25 inmates at the centre at present. All of them have completed their quarantine period and are waiting for their test results. Once the test result is obtained, they will be officially discharged for home quarantine.
