COVID-19 in Assam: Positive cases rise to 3,092 as 42 more people test positive

Meanwhile, 152 more patients have been discharged from different hospitals on Wednesday.

Assam reported 42 new COVID-19 positive cases on Wednesday, taking the total number of positive cases in the state to 3,092, official sources said.

Of the new 42 cases, Nagaon reported 19 cases, Kokrajhar 16, Lakhimpur four, Jorhat 2 and Dhemaji 1, Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma posted on Twitter.

"42 new #COVID19+ cases reported. 19 Nagaon, 16 Kokrajhar, 4 Lakhimpur, 2 Jorhat, 1 Dhemaji," the minister tweeted.

Meanwhile, 152 more patients have been discharged from different hospitals on Wednesday.

With the new discharged cases, total recovered cases in the state increased to 1,249, Sarma said.

So far, six patients have succumbed to the virus, while three have migrated to other states.
