A cumulative number of 26,331 people have recovered from COVID-19 in Manipur as 84 more patients were reported recovered from the viral infection on Saturday and the state's recovery rate improved to 94.11 per cent, the state health department said.
The state's COVID-19 caseload, according to a release issued by the COVID-19 Common Control Room, is 27,976 , including 33 new positive cases and 1,301 active cases.
Of the new positive cases 15 are from Imphal West, 12 from Imphal East, two from Senapati, and one each from Thoubal, Bishnupur, Kakching and Churachandpur.
All are locals without any significant travel history. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, the release stated.
No new COVID death was recorded in Manipur on Saturday. The death toll stood at 344, the state health department stated.
Meanwhile, the cumulative number of home isolation cases in the state surged to 8,616, including 7,915 recovered cases and 328 active cases.
The state health department appealed to the public to dial - 104 Manipur Mental Health Helpline from 9 am to 9 pm, for mental wellbeing.
