Meghalaya's COVID-19 caseload surges to 13,189

A total of 367 patients are under home isolation.

COVID-19 caseload in Meghalaya surged to 13,189, including 586 active cases, 12,470 recovered cases and 133 deaths, official sources said.

On Friday, the state recorded 48 new positive cases and 148 recoveries,  state Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War said.

Meanwhile, 367 patients are under home isolation, 179 persons in institutional quarantine, Dr War said, adding that there are 22 containment zones in the state.

The senior medical official said that 2,75,934 people have been tested for COVID-19 so far, of which 2,62,745 tested negative as of Friday.
