Mizoram: Zero COVID-19 case in four districts

The four districts with zero COVID-19 cases are Hnahthial, Siaha and Saitual and Mamit.

At least four districts of Mizoram managed to achieve the zero COVID-19 cases status after the recovery of active cases, while the state's active cases tally stood at 173, official sources said.

The four districts with zero COVID-19 cases are Hnahthial, Siaha and Saitual and Mamit, according to an update posted by the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), Mizoram on Twitter.

Hnahthial had recorded 15 COVID-19 cases, Siaha - 35, Saitual - 26 and Mamit - 82.  

On Monday, more persons tested positive for COVID-19 positive, taking the state's total caseload to 4,049, the DIPR said.

Of the total caseload, 2,979 are males while 1,070 are females, it added.

COVID-19 has so far claimed seven lives in Mizoram, while 3,869 persons have recuperated from the infection.

Among the active cases in the state, Aizawl has the maximum cases with 80, followed  by Lawngtlai with 47 and Lunglei with 21. In Serchhip district there are 16 active cases, Kolasib -6, Champhai - 2, Khawzawl - 1, according to the DIPR.
