SSB celebrates 55th Raising Day at Thokchom village

The SSB was extended in Manipur on December 13, 1965, after its establishment as Special Service Bureau on December 20, 1963, following the 1962 Sino-Indian War.

Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Manipur celebrated its 55th Raising Day on Sunday at Thokchom village, Thoubal district.

The celebration was organised by the Organising Committee of the 55th Raising Day of SSB Manipur and it was attended by Retired Inspector N Manihar; Retd sub inspector Th Kunjakeshwor; Retd inspector L Bishambor; Retd head constable K Bormani; and elders of Thokchom village, G Rame, W Ibomcha, T Madhuchandra and T Ibomcha as presidium members.

During the programme, a floral tribute was paid to SSB head constable Manimacha. The monumental pillar was donated by family members of Manimacha. A two-minute silence was also observed to pay homage to the SSB personnel.
