Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal who underwent test for COVID-19 on Tuesday after he complained of sore throat and mild fever, tested negative for the novel coronavirus, Aam Aadmi Party sources said.
Confirming the news, AAP MLA Raghav Chadha posted on Twitter, “CM @ArvindKejriwal tests negative for Covid-19. Thank god.”
Kejriwal had isolated himself after developing mild fever and sore throat, and has not been attending any meeting since Sunday afternoon.
Meanwhile the total number of COVID-19 cases in Delhi surged to 29,943 on Tuesday, while the nationwide tally recorded 266,598 cases so far.
