District Institute of Education and Training, Imphal East students’ union has opposed transfer of the institute principal in-charge Shashiranjan.
The union has also decided to launch agitations if the principal in-charge of the institute located at Keikol, Imphal East is transferred.
Shashiranjan who was a former guest lecturer of the institute thinks for the welfare of the students, a release issued by the union stated.
Even during the pandemic, the principal in-charge organised online classes for the students and conducted many developmental programmes for the institute, it said.
Allegations made by few people that appointment of Shahshiranjan as the principal violates the seniority list is baseless and that no other parties should interfere in the matter, it added.
