The All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) would be holding an emergent meeting of its Executive Council on Wednesday at 9 am at its office complex at Mapal Kangjeibung, in Imphal.
The main agenda of the emergent meeting will be the letter from Youth Affairs and Sports Department and other miscellaneous agenda, according to L Jyotirmoy Roy, General Secretary AMFA.
The Youth Affairs and Sports, Manipur has alleged AMFA of violating Article 6 to the Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) signed between AIFF, AMFA and YAS while utilising all weather Artificial Turf at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex near Lamlong Bridge.
The YAS Director T Phulen Meitei on November 23 had asked AMFA in a communique to put in white paper the income generated from utilising the Artificial Turf in the last five yeas, as enshrined in MoU, within five days time.
The YAS maintained that as AMFA failed to make any response to the matter it has terminated its relation with the apex football body and AMFA will not have any further say or use the Artificial Turf.
The Article 6 is stated to have clause for a Maintenance Committee, comprising a government representative and AMFA officials for the overall development of the Turf and transparency on revenue collection from using the Artificial Turf among other clause.
