2,08,964 COVID-19 patients recover in Assam

Assam reported 169 new cases on Friday.

As many as 2,08,964 COVID-19 patients have recovered so far, state Health and Family Welfare Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. 


Friday recorded 169 new cases, taking the total confirmed case to 2,13,505, while the death toll rose to 987 as two more patients died of the illness, the minister said.


Of the two patients who died, one is from Sivasagar and the other from Dibrugarh district. The death rate in the state is now 0.4 per cent. 


So far, Assam remains the state with highest Covid talky in Northeast India. The total number of active cases is 3,551.
