Memorial stone erected in memory of martyrs

The monolith was unveiled by convener of the Steering Committee major retired Hutovi Chishi.

The Kuki Tribal Union (KTU), NSCN/GPRN has erected a memorial stone at the KTU office compound central headquarters at Hebron in memory of four martyrs of KTU, the ministry of information and publicity, NSCN (I-M) stated on Thursday.

The four martyrs gave their precious lives on different occasions for the cause of the Naga nation, a release stated.

The monolith was unveiled by convener of the Steering Committee major retired Hutovi Chishi and the monolith dedication prayer was pronounced by president of the Council of Nagalim Churches (CNC) reverend Joseph Ruivah in the presence of president of KTU Lh Paohao, and a host of NSCN/GPRN leaders and members, it stated.

A Kuki traditional shawl was presented to the convener of the Steering Committee by the KTU president and his wife and a sumptuous Kuki traditional meal was served to the members present at the program by the KTU, it added.
