CM condoles demise of his former football team mate Nghaite Hmar

Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh has extended his condolence on the sudden demise of former footballer Nghaite Hmar.

“I am shocked and deeply aggrieved to learn that my former Manipur XI teammate and beloved friend Nghaite Hmar is no more,” Biren said.said

The chief minister said that Nghaite Hmar was a swift player who loved to play in the Left Forward position. After his retirement from professional football as well, he dedicated his life for the development of the beautiful game. He used to groom budding players at his own level despite having certain constraints.

“In his demise, Manipur has lost a precious son of the soil, who always kept on working for the promotion of sports culture. I deeply condole his demise and share grief with the bereaved family. May the Almighty give them strength to withstand the loss,” Biren said.
