Nagaland COVID-19 tally nears 11,000 mark with 75 new cases

The total number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in the state is now 10,852.

Nagaland COVID-19 tally inched closer to the 11,000-mark as 75 new cases were confirmed on Monday, official sources said.

The total number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in the state is now 10,852, including 1,442 active cases, according to the latest updates by the state Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom.

The new COVID-19 positive cases included 51 from Dimapur, 18 from Kohima, five from Tuensang and one from Mon, the health minister said in a tweet.

Meanwhile, 38 patients recovered from the viral infection on Monday, pushing the total number of recovered cases to 9,241.

"Update! 75 +ve cases of # COVID-19 detected today. Dimapur- 51, Kohima- 18, Tuensang- 5, Mon- 1. Also, 38 +ve patients have recovered.  Kohima- 23, Dimapur- 14, Peren- 1. Total +ve cases- 10852 Recovered- 9241 Active Cases- 1442," Phom tweeted.

The death toll in Nagaland stood at 63, of which six deaths are not due to COVID-19 while four cases are under investigation.
